Credit for Prior Learning (CPL)
Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) is college credit awarded for validated college-level skills and knowledge gained outside of a traditional classroom setting. Such learning can be acquired through life, work, or other non-academic experiences, such as military training industry certifications or apprenticeships. SBVC supports CPL and the CCCCO “Vision 2030” by embracing CPL to improve student access, completion, equity and achievement gaps. For more information on CPL, visit the Credit for Prior Learning at SBVC website.
