Basic Waterworks Certificate of Completion
This noncredit Basic Waterworks Certificate is designed to prepare students with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain entry-level employment in the water supply, delivery, and treatment operations. Note: The Basic Waterworks Certificate is not equivalent to the “Certificate of Competency” issued by the California State Water Resources Control Board in Water Distribution or Water Treatment.

Program Learning Outcomes
At the completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Have knowledge of fundamental aspects of water resource management, conservation, distribution, treatment, collection, recycle, and disposal operations.
- Perform tasks in connection with the operation, control, and maintenance of water and sanitation systems.
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills and apply these tools in a regulatory context (i.e. the public health protection).
