Academic credit earned at other institutionally accredited institutions may be evaluated once a student has completed 12 degree-applicable units at San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC). It is important that students request official transcripts from all previously attended colleges. Official transcripts should be sent directly to the Admissions and Records Office (AD/SS 100).
Religious coursework completed at denominational colleges must be equated with SBVC courses to be considered for credit. Religious courses that do not align with SBVC curriculum will not be accepted for credit.
Students who have completed coursework at institutions outside the United States and wish to apply that coursework toward their educational goals at SBVC must have their academic credentials evaluated by a recognized independent evaluation agency. A list of recommended agencies is available in the Records Office (AD/SS 100).
Note: The 12-unit residence requirement does not apply to applicants to the SBVC Registered Nursing program.
